We headed out to Pike Place Brewery today for lunch and we enjoyed ourselves some fine bar food and some local brews. Mac and cheese was in order and this is what it looked like before I devoured it.
We’re working on quite the project at work and today we treated ourselves to a nice lunch at the Metropolitan after we finished this one phase. Pictured from my wonderful cellphone is a plate of calamari. Quite the delicious appetizer, I must say.
My kid sister now has a job and came up to Philly to celebrate my birthday. She took me out to lunch so we walked down to Marra’s Restaurant. It’s one of those joints that have been around for 4 generations or so. I love their pizza.
We got the Pizza Piscatore. Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Tomatoes, Pine Nuts, and Pesto in a Brick Oven. Oh Yah!
Today is a house cleaning day in preparation for the upcoming cooking frenzy and our holiday that’s an ode to gluttony. Laundry, dusting, vacuuming, sorting out old magazines, making shopping list, organizing menu, etc. Fun! I actually love it.
I decided to do a fast and easy lunch today. I’m also feeling a little bit gloomy so I made comfort food. Corn Dogs, Tater Tots, and a bottle of ice cold Coca Cola will do nicely to brighten this busy, rainy day. Fair food at it’s finest!
