Century Egg

This is a box of preserved duck eggs (also known as “century eggs” or “100 year old eggs”) that we keep in our kitchen. It is an ingredient in many Chinese dishes, including some congees. Some people love it but I find the taste disgusting.

For dinner tonight we juiced two apples, two stalks of celery, a beet, and four carrots.  It was delicious, and the perfect “recovery drink” after our P90x workout.

After a delicious dinner at Caplansky’s, we walked west along College St. looking for a nice place to have dessert. We found the Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe and I ordered this gigantic Belgian waffle with eggnog ice cream and fresh strawberries!

I try to eat breakfast every day once I get to work, even though I’m rarely hungry till later in the morning. It’s for my own good, though, as I’ve been making an effort to adopt better eating habits in recent times.

Lil logs covered in chocolate on one end. Um, yeah. Pipe Smokin’ Rasta Lumberjack with Chocolate Logs and a pink rabbit friend.
It made me smile so I bought it.

These are a great snack. You just pop a bag in the microwave, heat on high for four to five minutes, cut open the bag and dump them in a bowl, and just sprinkle them with large flake Fleur de sel. Ninety-nine calories and delicious!
