Every day on my way in and out of the office, I pass by this old school barber / coffee shop on the subway level of our building. It fascinates me. I’ve always preferred to have my hair cut by an old man with a straight razor and a shaky wrist. At a place like this you can count on a clean shave, a slick do and some good old-fashioned conversation. And it usually only runs about $10. I normally see John at 13th and Wharton, but I may have to cheat on him this month and give it a shot. If there’s coffee, I may have to make a switch.
