This is a very cute book I would recommend to anyone over the age of 8 or 9. Its the memoir of a boy’s year in third grade. I saw at the bookstore & leafed through it and started laughing. So much about this book reminds me of how I think Brian was at that age.

Someone recently pointed out to me that much of our house is not guest friendly in terms of the books available for overnight guests to check out whenthey can’t sleep or we are busy. Based on the current stack on the coffee table, they may be right.

It rained a lot today so when it finally broke after sunset, her highness Aiko did not want to come indoors so I sat out with her reading. This series of books is either a loving homage to the Harry Potter books or one of the most blatant situational/character/plot thefts in human history.

The pile of books on my nightstand keeps growing. Only two of these, An American Tragedy and Six of One, are books to re-read. I need to start reading more.
