Our cable company, Rogers, introduced some new digital channels recently (I just noticed them today, but they may have been around for a while now). This included channel 175: the Fireplace Channel! Back in my day, you had to wait until December every year before our local access channel plays an ambient fire video non-stop. Now kids these days can enjoy it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Now I’m glued to the TV, eagerly anticipating the moment when the hand comes from the side to poke the fire.
