I was at the nutritionist office today after work for my monthly weight loss checkup / session. This time I was in a room that I had not been in before and it had a poster that I remember from my elementary school’s infirmary. The last time I went to that school I was about 8 years old but it brought back a huge wave of those ‘growing up gay’ memories that might have made life easier had they been noticed. Around the time I had noticed this poster, in preadolescence, I had a penis obsession.
Thankfully it did not manifest with the penis art that was highlighted in the movie Superbad and was clearly a milder form. With me it was books. ANY book that might possibly contain an illustration of a nude male – even without skin as shown below – would be poured over and studied. I was in 4th grade when I figured that the 610-619 section of the Dewey Decimal Classification System was my best bet for finding a real live penis photo or drawing.
This poster has a copyright date of 1961 so there is a very good chance that the copy I remember from grade 4 was part of the same run.
This is an unedited photo below. Clearly photo above was tweaked. There was a minor layer scaling mishap that led to other issues, but mainly its a result of letting my brain go on autopilot while readying a photo.

You didn’t have to link to an article about Penis. I am sure we all know what that is.
For me it was page 99 of my Biology textbook – there was full page a ‘woodcut’ showing the anatomy of the woman’s body – breast down to the nether regions.
The penis had its own page and I put a small amount of glue to the corner I didn’t have to ‘accidentally’ look at it.
My textbook became so deformed that when ever I flipped open the textbook, it would open at page 99.
Oh JD! You are so wonderful.
I am amazed you made it out of Glades County sane, what a place to have to grow up.
