Subway wireman

And something else subway related…took a ride into Manhattan today so I could go to New York Cake and Baking Supply, where I intended on getting my picture of the day.  On the way home however, I spotted this stuck to a pole on the F train.  I’m assuming it’s for a school project, like “Flat Stanley.”  I did indeed take him home, where I stuck him to the refrigerator and took this picture.  Of course, I also wrote to the e-mail address.

Dear Subway Wireman,

I wanted to let you know that I found you on the F train today, just after I got on at the 23rd Street station.  I took you home with me in Kensington.  In case you don’t know, Kensington is a small neighborhood in Brooklyn, near Borough Park.  Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of it, a lot of other people haven’t either!

Right now you’re taped up on our refrigerator.  I hope you’ve enjoyed your journey on the subway, and are happy to be with us.

Sincerely,

  1. This is really cool. I like the idea a lot. Did you send a link along with your email? Whoever created it would probably be excited to see that the wireman became a part of this nice photo project. Neat-o!

I love stuff like this! It’s so great that you emailed them too, so many people don’t with things like this.

  3. This is awesome! My nephew who lives in Germany at the mo, did a flat stanley project last year and I thought it was very cool.
