Frapto 20 – Last Flowers

A selection of the last of the dying flowers in the jungle/garden. The light was fading when I headed outside and that seemed to enhance the shadows/contrasts/whatevers :)

Is it normal for you guys to have flowers this late in the season? Every time I pass the neighbors rose bush, complete with roses, it creeps me out. The plants seem to have gone off schedule in the Philly area.

  2. To be honest I only ventured out today to see what the damage was after a year of neglect. It is the mum’s domain, so this year it has been sorely neglected.

I didn’t expect to see anything alive, let alone some yet to flower. It had been very mild this year, no frost yet to kill things off.

  3. My forsythia is currently in bloom. In this area it normally blooms in early spring (March/April). I also have a wiegela that just put out buds and a flower. Very strange. I hope they bloom in the spring, when they are supposed to!

Whew. I feel better now. I saw some of the forsythia on route 73 blooming (not as hugely as spring, but clearly blooming) near Fox Meadow and I thought I was seeing things.

Beautiful images, Claire! Did you have to use PhotoShop or something to get them all together like that? Amazing. I would totally use that image in my life somehow. There’s something almost comic-booky about it.

  5. It would be a very dull spring indeed if the flowers didn’t bloom then.

@Sezin I use Picnik to edit my photographs, add effects and arrange them in collages. It is an online site, so you don’t have to download anything.

They have added some really cool seasonal features too, some of them are only available to premium users, which I upgraded too.
