Urban Agriculture
I’m back after a month (or so) away from Frapto!
During the last month I was writing a chapter for a book. Since I submitted the final manuscript to my editor yesterday, I have a bit more time to do stuff, like taking pictures before I have to start worrying too much about finishing my writing my thesis… which is due in 17 days!
Here is a good demonstration of how long I have been gone. The day before I stopped taking pictures for Frapto (July 22), I took one of a vegetable garden just across the street from my office that was first planted in early July. Here is the corner with a budding tomato plant:
And of course, the title image for today shows the same plant all grown up and producing little cherry tomatoes. Kids grow up so fast….
Vegetable gardens have started to appear all over campus thanks to the Urban Agriculture Society here at the University of Toronto. I can’t wait until harvest time comes around!
