{38:365} Snowy Roof

{38:365} Snowy Roof

I snapped this one while I was driving home through the Penn State campus today. The amount of snow on the ground is still hard to imaging and we only got about 14" as compared to my friends in the Philadelphia and D.C. region. I was more struck by the contrast of the colors in the building with the white snow and the icicles. [I wish the back of the stop sign was not in the image]

Frozen Gondola

Frozen Gondola

These 8-person gondolas take skiers from the village to the summit of Mont Tremblant, the ride takes several minutes, and offers spectacular views of the mountain.  Mont Tremblant is the highest peak in the Laurentian Mountains (des Laurentides), sitting at 875 m (2860 ft) above sea level and 645 m (2120 ft) above the base village.   This picture was taken by my friend, as I was too scared to bring my camera up the mountain since I’m not that good at skiing!

Super Bowl? What Super Bowl?

Super Bowl? What Super Bowl?

As per tradition these past few years, we had a Super Bowl Sunday dinner at Peter Luger, a highly regarded steak restaurant that’s been in business for over one hundred years. I’m not usually one of those “OMG meat rawr” types of people, but you kind of can’t help but crave the bloody red stuff when you’re there.

Frapto 99 – Phone Home

Frapto 99 – Phone Home

I was a bit stumped today, as I have been feeling a little homicidal towards our next door neighbours who have been doing building work nearly every day for months and months now! So the only  red thing I could think of was not very pleasant!

Then I spotted this money box on top of my bookshelf! I had to give it a clean as it was filthy! lol.

Especially for JD: It is Seven inches in height :)

Sparkly Icicles

Sparkly Icicles

I caught a glimpse of these icicles on our back gutters, sparkling in the sun. I felt I had to capture the magic.
