The key to the city
Owning a car in New York City is an unnecessary waste of money, plain and simple. Parking is at a premium, and when you can find it you all but have to sign away the rights to your first born child to afford it. And let’s not even get into driving itself. What you see right here, that’s how you get around in New York City. I’ll never understand people who are reluctant to take the subway, you’re missing out on such a big part of the urban life experience.
Cart Return From Hell
I don’t like to complain on here, but some things just deserve it. I hate, I despise, when people are too lazy to return their shopping carts to the proper place. Normally that would be a cart return, but sometimes that may mean walking it back up to the side walk next to the store. In this photo, the carts are no more than 15 steps away from the front of the store. Yet, a large collection of people decided to park their carts in a jumbled mess that looks more like a 10 car pileup than a cart return because they were too lazy to take an extra 15 steps in either direction.
You may be able to understand my rage if you’ve seen carts rolling down hills and ramming into unsuspecting peoples cars while the responsible parties drive away. I can’t understand what is wrong with people.
And, yes, I did return my cart to the store.
