Frapto 66 – Bloody Snow

Frapto 66 – Bloody Snow

Two weeks ago, in the UK, we were slightly teased with the snow, it was basically gone in a day, as seen here on Frapto 52 and in this wee video on flickr here.

Last night the snow came down hard and it stuck! Bloody tons of the stuff,  well for me anyway. I cant remember there being this much snow since I was very small and it looks like we have another ten days of it.

Video from phone here (rubbish quality).

Editing on this photograph: I used picnik.com to edit this and messed with contrasts, applied a holga ish effect and a vignette.

Morning detail

Morning detail

After many failed attempts in the past, I’ve now finally gotten into a routine of taking a small selection of vitamins and supplements every day.  Without going into TMI (you’re welcome), the supplements are as follows: flax oil, Omega-3, B-12 vitamins, acidophilus and St. John’s Wort, plus two aspirin, as I work in front of a computer in terrible lighting most of the day.  Most of the supplements are touted as natural remedies to help with anxiety and depression.  I’m very fortunate to not yet require any long-term prescription medication.

Appropriate Road Signs

Appropriate Road Signs

Purely an accident, and not of the vehicular kind.  On the way back to Dayton from Cleveland, we were stuck in traffic due to the IMMENSE amount of snow (insert sarcasm here), and I was just firing off shots with my camera on the dashboard to entertain myself.   Didn’t realize until I got home what the name of the exits happened to be :)

Get the Pointe

Get the Pointe

This photo was inspired by the pictures of shoes that were posted recently.  This is my most recent pair of pointe shoes, and I’ve had many throughout the years.  Not long ago, I returned to taking ballet classes and thought I might just try to revisit pointe training as well.  As you can see, this was short-lived and the shoes are only lightly worn.  I still take classes, but I only attend once a week.  (The policy at the school is that if you study pointe, you must attend at least two ballet classes a week, for safety reasons.)  I might hang on to these, just in case I need them in the future!

These are actually the same shoes that I’m wearing in my gravatar.

Where Paths Cross

Where Paths Cross

I took this snapshot outside my office window, showing the many footprints of students wandering to-and-fro between classes.
