I got together with a bunch of friends to play [[mahjong]], a Chinese game that uses 144 of these tiles. You can learn the basics of the game in one day, but you will constantly develop strategy with experience! I encourage you to try to learn it one day!
While waiting for Chinese food to be delivered I realized that I had not taken a photo all day. I didn’t have my good camera and my phone (an Android G1) has no flash so after a few tries to take a picture of my doormat resulted in lovely black digitized rectangles I gave up and decided to try a camera toss.
Today we took a trip to Housing Works, a second-hand bookstore in Soho where most of the proceeds go towards AIDS and HIV-related charities. It rivals any new bookstore in appearance and selection, and has excellent music playing over the store intercom, as opposed to Borders, which plays crap like the soundtrack to ‘Mamma Mia!’
Recently, one of my favorite local pubs has began carding and not serving people without valid ID. While some people who are 36 would be flattered, I found it a major annoyance as mine had expired in April. This led us to finally going to get my Identification Card renewed and with our new address.

Here are our nieces, Gabriella, Summer, and Breana, giving a Christmas concert. They don’t really eat very much refined sugar, so when we had birthday cake for Ileana (their mother), the sugar went straight to their funny bones.
