Studying!

Studying!

The reason for my late posts is because I’ve been studying for my final exam in Supramolecular Chemistry. It will probably be my final final exam in my academic career, but knowing that still doesn’t motivate me to study!

We walked down 11th Street to meet some new friends for Happy Hour at the Devil’s Den this evening.  Someone still had their Halloween (maybe) display up in the window so I snapped a picture.

This time of year, I always fill the house with candles, usually scented ones. Much to the horror of the mum, as she hates the smell of most of them, hehe.

This is one of the little houses that we have collected from our trips to Puerto Rico.  Every time we go, we make it a point to pick up a couple of these.  I particularly like the detail of this one, which we got in April, when we were there last.

I really like this truck because it reminds me of some of the old farm trucks I used to see in both Illinois and Florida as a kid. These trucks, even then, were probably not ’street legal’ but nobody was gonna stop a farmer from using one to run around town on errands to haul stuff.

I grew up in Panama so we never had big piles of leaves like this to play in. Gavin’s grandpa didn’t hesitate to hop in and let the grandkids have at him.
