Wonderful, warm day
Holiday Sixlets
I’ve missed a few days, but all weekend I was working on some new technology for the server (this one, the server that hosts frapto and other domains for www.gowtz.com). Today is a quickie pic. I found these sixlets at the store the other day, it’s the first time I have ever seen them in these colors.
Update 2009-11-16: Upon sampling the holiday colored sixlets, they have left me with a different impression than their standard counterparts. They seem to taste a bit more creamy than usual. Not necessarily a good thing, unless you are into creaminess, which I’m not. Maybe it’s all in my mind as a result of trying a white one first.
I Love Miniature Condiments
In nicer hotels you get condiments in these little glass bottles (see quarter for scale) instead of plastic packages when you order room service. I have never ordered room service, but I realized that if you walk around the halls in the morning you can pick these up from the trays people leave outside their rooms. Now, these tiny glass bottles aren’t very environmentally-friendly (I doubt the hotel staff recycle them), but they are just so dang cute!
It’s not that hard to find ketchup bottles, but I hit the jackpot when a friend of mine spotted the rarer mayo and Dijon mustard. In my collection I also have a tiny bottle soya sauce, a couple of different hot sauces, and tiny bottles of jam, honey and marmalade. I am now seeking to add white vinegar, balsamic vinegar, relish and regular mustard to my collection.
