An early x-mas gift for my mom. It’s a 1000 watt Cuisinart mixer.

Black bean burgers, that is.  I decided that it wasn’t too cold or too late to cook up a couple of black bean burgers on the grill.  We have a grill light, and they cook quickly, so why not?  They were yummy!

Passyunk Avenue in South Philly is really shaping up to be a great place to live.  There are so many neat little shops opening up and a lot of great pubs.  Severin is big into craft beers and so we expect this place to become a haunt over our time owning this home. 

They have tons of different kind of beers, a great jukebox, delicious food (even some vegan for our veggie pals), and best of all, they’re less than a block from our house so we can not worry about driving home. I love living in a city where things are within walking distance!

Today, I took a leisurely stroll down the Avenue.  I checked out a few new stores, got a delicious gingerbread tea drink at a local coffee shop and snapped some photos.

I was feeling a little left out because everyone has posted a photo of a tree. Well here’s mine. Was trying to get a cool effect with the sun but although a nice sunburst and line showed up on the screen, it didn’t show up in the picture.  In any case, this was shot at the office on my way to run my weekly Target errand.
