Get OUT Mommy!

Get OUT Mommy!

My son has a bit of a temper and lately I’ve found if I take a picture of him during a meltown he’ll stop so that he can look at the picture.  Today he refused to wear pants and when I put him in timeout, he not only pulled his pants down, he also pulled his diaper off. He must have figured I wouldn’t be happy because by the time I got in there for this picture, he had put it back on.

California Dreamin’

California Dreamin’

All the leaves are brown
And the sky is grey
I’ve been for a walk
On a winter’s day

I’d be safe and warm
if I was in L.A
California Dreamin’
On such a winter’s day

Pain-in-the-neck Pillow

I awoke this morning with a crick in my neck, so I broke down and got a good pillow.  I should sleep well tonight!

One of my BFFs

One of my BFFs

Very few of my friends know how to cook.  Most people I know seems to eat mostly processed/prepackaged foods or take out.  Yet, I am a picky person.  Not only is that food not good for you but it’s always over salted and not appetizing to me.  For example, I won’t even use Manwich and insist on making Sloppy Joes from scratch.

For years, I coveted KitchenAid Mixers.  I’ve never in my life had a real mixer.  Even growing up, everything was done by hand but yet I knew there was something special in these mixers.  I love fashion, decorating, accessories,  and all that comes with it so when KitchenAid began making them in a rainbow of colors, I knew I MUST GET ONE.  It felt like a milestone in my life when I got my own mixer.  I even got to pick the color.

I giggle now because after moving into our new house in June, I realized that I had painted my kitchen walls to match.  As well as my first pair of Doc Martin stompy boots as a teenager were the same shade of purple.  I guess I am predictable in that way. ;)

I don’t know how I ever baked without my Grape KitchenAid.  I also like to name inanimate objects.  Since I am a history geek too, I named her Molly Mixer in honor of Molly Pitcher.
